As the Harper led Conservative Government’s hand-picked Auditor General of Canada goes public stating that he can not tell what the government did with 3.1 billon dollars originally part of the 12.9 billion dollars the Tories set aside for the war against terrorism, Toni Clement and his government say once again that nothing is wrong and is just  a difference in the way the government does its accounting and the Auditor General Of Canada does his; while the majority of Canadians say, “OH no here we go again”! What is up Canada?

Toni Clement is either the most arrogant, without honor, immoral and totally without conscience politician in this country, or he is the most blind, ignorant, patsy to ever enter the game of politics, because no politician could do with his career and the historical memory of  it what Toni Clement has done and claim to be sane, could they?  I mean this guy is the poster child for untraceable and misuse of government funds, which means tax payer dollars. This problem to which this government has in the past shown great skill in their ability to use the art of sleight of hand and their version of the shell- game to confuse voters and taxpayers by asking them to choose which shell the money is really under, always leaving us and other politicians wondering is it really under any of the shells.  When will Canadians tire of hearing excuses like these instead of getting transparency and honesty?

  • Treasury Board President Tony Clement told reporters the missing $3.1-billion could be the result of the lack of “whole of government assessment of spending.”
  • Tony Clement says although auditor general can’t find $3.1B allocated to anti-terrorism, no one saying money ‘misspent’
  • Clement said that some of the spending — 2001 through 2006 — came under the previous Liberal government.

Why can we never get a straight answer from this government on anything that it has done, is doing,  or is planning to do? Why does this government not know where and how the money was spent and why as Toni states is there a lack of, “Whole government assessment spending?”

110930ClementcLast time this government tried this it was during the G-8 summits and once again it was Toni Clement misusing funds to the tune of $50 million.  The funds were supposed to be used to upgrade our Canadian border crossings, this jerk took $50 million that was to help protect both Canadians and Americans from terrorist attacks and threats and used $50 million of it in his own riding on pork belly projects.  What Toni Clement did goes deeper than just trying to win favour in his riding, his actions either said that their was no real terrorist threat and that the whole border crossing issue was a lie, or this minister and his government intentionally endangered the lives of Canadians and Americans alike to make Toni Clement and the Conservative Party Of Canada look good.   At a time when Canada and the USA are trying to figure out how to insure strong borders and not disrupt travel and trade, we have Toni Clement and the Conservative Government of Canada building public toilets in a farmer’s field; building a gazebo in a town and buying a $2 million cruise boat that wouldn’t float, but the cherry on the proverbial cake was paying $1 million to have somebody carve a fake, miniature lighthouse out of an old tree stump.

Words That Go Unheard / Letter To Prime Minister Harper

Empty words and lies are his trade mark

Okay we were a little mad still with the Liberal Party of Canada back in those days and so we thought that we would show those nasty guys who dared to spend on illegal advertising campaigns designed to promote the benefits of a strong united Canada in Quebec by first removing them from power and secondly by ignoring the wrong doings of the Harper government.  In every instance where the conservative federal government  was in a minority during their 1st mandate they used every trick in the book to delay, withhold data and information that would have proved they were doing something fundamentally wrong and even prorogued the government in order to avoid issues of serious wrong doing on their part that would have seen their governance come to an end; a legal procedure, but a totally sleazy end run around transparency and democracy when used in the manner.  I find this behaviour ironic for a government who came to power promising to be the most transparent government ever, but more I find the acceptance of their behaviour by Canadians who ignored all of their wrong doing and elected this government into a majority government position as naïve, ill-informed and intellectually and emotionally numb to the going on of this government; considering corruption, withholding of information and dirty tricks just part of   good everyday political strategy  to be used by smart politicians.

Which brings us to the latest fiasco; the latest trick of now you see it now you don’t, money management practices of Toni Clement and the Steven Harper led Conservative government of Canada.  The Auditor General of Canada has stated in his report that he can not find anywhere, no matter where he looks 3.1 billion dollars and once again it was money scheduled for security against terrorism.  It was part of  12.9 billion that the harper government said it put aside to fight terrorism.  The government has accounted for 9. 8 billion dollars of the money, but nobody in the government and not the Auditor General of Canada knows what happened to the other 3.1 billion dollars and we are getting the same answers from Toni Clement as we did  with his pork bellying during the G8 summit, when they claimed Sheila Fraser did not know how to count and again when they accused the PBO of faulty figures when he said the F-35 Fighter Jet was way over budget.  They keep claiming that career accountants, number crunchers are wrong and they are right but in ever case they have been proven not only wrong, but to have intentionally manipulated their figures to suit their needs and have kept 2 different set of accounting books one that they have with the real figure and one they show to everyone else, the good things, the lies the fraud that they want us to see and make us believe that the country is all right by their governance.

942797_461836920558489_2067355640_nAll this could be argued as to what is normal and how seriously we should take these things, but what I believe can not be ignored is the impact for good that this money could have been done if in fact it did not go to securing our border crossing, because the funds were not needed there, or because the terrorist threat has been over exaggerated by their political rhetoric.  The government claims we can not sustain Medicare, daycare, senior citizen’s care, and in this time of cuts to everything can we afford a government who looses or can’t explain the loss or misplacement of 3.1 billion dollars?  The casual attitude of this government to hearing the reports of the missing money decries the arrogance, the above the law and its power crazy approach to governing Canada and Canadians.  I for one do not believe that the money is missing at all; I believe that it has been used for a purpose other than for what it was supposed to be used and the government is proving once again that it feels that the only people who need to know are their government.

179900_464657400276441_213359282_nWe have seen a major loss in social programs and social funding as we are asked to tighten our belts and sharpen our pens. For the last ten years we as workers have been forced back to work although in a legal position to strike, because this government decide that Canada and Canadians could not allow anything to happen that would upset the Conservative Government of Canada’s Economic plan economic, but this government expects us to accept as okay the fact that under their watch 3.1 billion dollars has gone missing, or  is not accounted for and to except that it could have been used in several different ways that they are not really sure about is a good answer and good for our economic well-being. I say time for them to go anywhere, but remain in power they can not and I think the whole kit and caboodle of them need to find employment elsewhere.
